The Anesthesia and Operations Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Khamis Mushait, King Khalid University, aims to graduate competent anesthesia specialists who provide outstanding patient care and have excellent leadership qualities in anesthesiology. The department has innovative technological labs equipped with the machines and equipment. The students and interns have various rotational clinical exposures in tertiary care hospitals. The faculty staff have local and diverse universal backgrounds. They provide a standard of care complying with national and international standards, along with innovative teaching techniques that yield outstanding outcomes
Program Mission
To prepare competent anesthesia technologists equipped with scientific knowledge—both theoretical and practical—and essential skills, enabling them to assist anaesthesiologists in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care, contribute to scientific research, and engage in community service through the effective utilisation of available resources.

Dr. Fahad Hussain AlHamoudi
Assistant Professor in Dental Technology

Brief Overview
Dr. Fahad Hussain AlHamoudi is an Assistant Professor at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Khalid University, where he chairs the Department of Anesthesia and leads student activities. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Bioengineering with a focus on Dental Materials from Lancaster University and the University of Sheffield, UK. In addition, he earned a Master's degree in Dental Technology from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor's degree in Dental Technology from King Saud University. Dr. AlHamoudi has extensive experience in research, focusing on the development of biomaterials for tissue regeneration and dental implants using nanotechnology.
Dr. AlHamoudi has obtained several professional certifications, including the Project Management Certificate from Google via Coursera. He is also an active member of several prestigious global professional associations, including:

Lab Description
In our Lab, students can acquire and practice the skills of Anesthesia and Operation Technology by training on medical manikins under the supervision of Anesthesia specialists and faculty members.
Objectives:
The Anesthesia and Operations Technology Laboratory aims to:
- Provide students with the opportunity to develop and improve their practical skills in anesthesia.
- Encourage the practice of using and applying various tools, dolls, and techniques in anesthesia.
- Providing an educational environment that contributes to students' understanding of theoretical and practical concepts related to anesthesia technology.
- To promote awareness among the students about safety and preventive measures related to anesthesia.
- To focus on professional ethics and correct professional behavior when dealing with patients, sensitive information, and keeping patients confidential.
