World Alzheimer's Day
September 21st is observed as World Alzheimer’s Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s is a brain disorder that leads to the gradual deterioration of nerve cells responsible for cognitive functions. It is one of the most devastating diseases, arguably more dangerous than cancer, due to the significant increase in the number of cases in recent years. The disease has begun to take on pandemic proportions, highlighting the urgent need to focus on prevention strategies and to improve understanding of how to care for patients. These efforts align with Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the overall quality of life.
