World Antibiotic Awareness Week
Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global threat, as pathogens become resistant to drugs, making infections more challenging to treat and increasing the risk of illness and death. To address this crisis, the WHO adopted a global action plan in 2015 to raise awareness and understanding through educational campaigns, such as World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week.
