College of Applied Medical Sciences, Khamis Mushait
This unit reports directly to the Director of College Management and is responsible for effectively communicating important information and decisions to all members of the organization. It aims to facilitate access to information and address any barriers to that access through oral, written, or electronic means. Additionally, the unit monitors external communications to ensure that information flows into and out of the organization in an orderly manner.
The Department of Basic Medical Sciences was founded in 2013 with the primary mission of enhancing medical students' educational framework. While the department itself does not confer degrees, it plays a vital role in supporting various faculty departments through its comprehensive curriculum.
The Master of Public Health aims to qualify professional specialists and researchers in the fields of public health and community health, who can plan and implement health programs, evaluate health programs, manage health services in disasters and epidemics, and set health policies through stimulating the energies of society through community partnership and advanced scientific research.
The program aims to qualify students to become specialists in the fields of public health with skills that will help them develop and present health programs in various fields of public health and community health. The program also prepares graduates to work in the public and private sectors in areas of public health and community health such as environmental health and occupational safety, health management and health economics, epidemiology and nutrition.
The College held an introductory meeting for new students on 2 Rajab, 1443 A.H. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdullah Alshahrani at the male section, in the presence of the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahed Alsahrani, Their Excellencies the heads of the departments, their deputies, the academic staff members, college employees, and members of the student club.
The Anesthesia and Operations Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait, King Khalid University, is dedicated to graduating competent anesthesia specialists who provide excellent patient care and demonstrate strong leadership qualities in the field of anesthesiology. The department features state-of-the-art technological labs equipped with the latest machines and equipment. Students and interns gain diverse clinical experience through rotations in tertiary care hospitals.
