
AI Smile
On Sunday 1446/08/10 AH 2025/02/09, the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Kamis Mushait, Student Club, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and with the Department of Dental Health Sciences, held a program entitled " AI Smile." This innovative program addresses the applications of artificial intelligence in dentistry and the use of "Cad Cam" technologies in dental laboratories. It is a leading program that develops students' skills and enhances their knowledge of the latest technologies in this advanced medical field.
The program began at 9:00 a.m., where attendees enjoyed a series of theoretical lectures given by department members:
- Dr. Abdulmajid Akshah provided a comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence, addressing its history and multiple uses in dentistry and highlighting its importance in improving the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment.
- Dr. Fahad Al-Hamoudi: Discussed "Cadcam" technology and its features compared to traditional methods in dental laboratories, explaining how this technology improves quality and reduces errors.
- Dr. Rajesh touched on the materials used in "Cad Cam" techniques, outlining their advantages and disadvantages while discussing potential risks.
- Dr. Vishwanat: Addressing the role of artificial intelligence and CAM in designing fixed and moving formulations, explaining how these technologies contribute to improving treatment outcomes and patients' comfort.
- Dr. Syed Altaf: Talk about the role of artificial intelligence and CAM in orthodontics and how these technologies have helped speed up processes and achieve accurate and effective results.
Department members attended the program, including current department students and several students from other specialties. After the lectures, a food break was offered from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The program continued from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., led by Dr. Abdulmajid Okshah, focusing on practical training on artificial intelligence to design and print teeth using the latest technological devices.
