World Alzheimer's Day
World Alzheimer's Day is celebrated on September 21 every year to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease. This brain disease causes progressive atrophy of neurons in the brain that are responsible for cognitive functions. Alzheimer's is one of the most severe diseases, even more serious than cancer. Because the number of cases has increased markedly in recent years, as the disease has begun to become a pandemic, emphasis must be placed on prevention methods and awareness-raising on dealing with patients in compliance with the vision of 2030 in improving quality of life.
