About Department

The Department of Basic Medical Sciences was founded in 2013 with the primary mission of enhancing medical students' educational framework. While the department itself does not confer degrees, it plays a vital role in supporting various faculty departments through its comprehensive curriculum. The department specializes in key foundational disciplines, including microbiology, which examines microorganisms and their impact on human health; anatomy, the study of the structure of the human body; physiology, which explores the functions of the body's systems; and pharmacology, focusing on the effects of drugs and medications on biological systems.
